Privacy notice

This notice covers the website siteclue.ai and signing up for an account. How the SiteClue service handles data about visitors to our customers’ websites is governed by the data processing agreement with each customer.

Who is responsible

When you visit the website

• The website sets no cookies and uses no local storage.
• There is no analytics, no tracking and no resources from other servers: no fonts, scripts or images are loaded from elsewhere.
• The web server logs the time, the page address, the status code and the response time. It does not log your IP address, your browser or the page you came from.

When you create an account

We store what you fill in: organisation, name, email address and website address, as well as the language of the page, a plan if you chose one, and when you accepted the terms. The password is never stored in clear text, only as a salted hash. Until you activate the account the hash is held with the sign-up, after that only on the account. The data is used to create and administer the account, to contact you about the service and for invoicing.

The legal basis is the contract with your organisation and our legitimate interest in being able to contact the organisation’s contact person. The data is stored in the EU.

When you activate the account with the link in the email the trial starts and we read the website whose address you gave. We email you three days before the trial ends and on the day it ends.

A sign-up that is never activated is deleted after 7 days, with the hash of the password. If you choose no plan, the account is deleted with all its data 30 days after the trial ended; an audit log of what happened is kept for its own retention period. Otherwise account data is kept as long as the account exists. Invoicing records are kept as long as bookkeeping rules require.

Payment

Payment is handled by Stripe, which is a processor for payment data and nothing else. Stripe receives the details about your organisation and contact person that are needed for payment and invoicing. Stripe never receives website content, search terms, questions or any data about visitors.

The payment page is Stripe’s own and is shown only after the account has been created. This website loads nothing from Stripe. Stripe may transfer data to the United States under its own terms and the safeguards the GDPR requires.

The SiteClue service

The service works without personal data about visitors: no cookies, no visitor id, the IP address is never stored and search terms are cleaned of personal data. All data and all AI models are in our own hosting in the EU. The personal data in the service is the customer’s administrator accounts and the audit log.

Your rights

You have the right to know what data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to the processing and to receive it in a machine-readable format. Write to hej@siteclue.ai. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY).
